Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Software/Network Application Engineer with a strong background in networking technologies, automation, DevOps, Kubernetes, and containerization to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in deploying and managing complex network platforms, containerization, and developing automation solutions. This role will involve working on critical networking projects, including deployment, monitoring, and automation of network platforms, as well as contributing to the orchestration and integration of virtual network services.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

+ Networking Expertise: Lead the deployment, upgrade, and monitoring of advanced network platforms and technologies.

+ Containerization & Kubernetes: Manage and orchestrate infrastructure and networking services using Kubernetes, ensuring efficient deployment and service chaining.

+ Automation Development: Design, develop, and implement automation applications using tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Concourse, and SonarQube to streamline SDWAN provisioning and network function certification.

+ Data Analysis & Monitoring: Utilize monitoring tools like ELK, Splunk, Prometheus, and Grafana to analyze network data and ensure optimal performance.

+ API Development: Develop and integrate RESTful APIs using Python and Django, ensuring seamless communication between third-party applications and internal systems.

+ Collaboration & Innovation: Work cross-functionally with other teams to implement automation strategies and drive operational improvements in Network management, DevOps, and containerization.

Qualifications:

+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

+ Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network application development, SDWAN technology, and containerization.

+ Networking Expertise: Hands-on experience with advanced networking technologies, deployment, and management.

+ Kubernetes & Containerization (preferrable): Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) with experience containerizing networking platforms and working with Kubernetes orchestration.

+ DevOps & Automation: Proficient with automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, Concourse, SonarQube, and Artifactory.

+ Data Monitoring & Analysis: Experience with ELK, Splunk, Telegraf, Prometheus, and Grafana.

+ Programming & API Development: Proficiency in Python and Django, with experience building and integrating RESTful APIs.

+ Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex network and application issues.

Additional Skills:

+ Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams.

+ Proactive attitude, detail-oriented, and adaptable to a dynamic environment.

+ Experience working in an Agile environment.

Salary:

Primary Location Pay Range: $116,942.55 - $175,413.83

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
