Geo-Technology Associates, Inc. (GTA) is currently seeking a Geotechnical Engineer with 4 to 7 years of experience for our Georgetown, Delaware office.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Provide task support to the Construction Observation & Testing group

+ Coordinate and manage drilling projects and oversee junior staff with management of these projects, as well as visual classification and log preparation

+ Coordinate and review laboratory testing

+ Complete accurate geotechnical exploration reports

+ Perform engineering calculations, including settlement, bearing capacity, lateral earth pressures, pavement section designs, slope stability, etc.

+ Generate scopes and fees for new projects and prepare complete proposals and budgets.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or related field of study

+ P.E. or EIT is REQUIRED

+ 4 to 7 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience

+ Own Transportation, valid driver's license and good driving record

+ Enjoy working outdoors

+ NICET, ACI and/or other certifications desired
