We're a team of world-class experts developing and shipping innovative hardware, software, and content that push the boundaries of what's possible in AR, VR, and MR products. As a Camera Engineer or Software Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to help design and develop camera pipelines, program ISPs, and create innovative ML-based 3A algorithm modules that bring intelligence to the camera for superior robustness and accuracy. Required Skills:

Software Engineer, Camera Algorithms Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate in a team environment across multiple scientific and engineering disciplines, making the architectural tradeoffs required to rapidly deliver software solutions

2. Create clean readable code, debug complex problems, prioritize ruthlessly and get things done with a high level of efficiency

3. Develop camera pipelines and program ISP and relevant subsystems for optimized camera experiences

4. Develop audio software for a variety of consumer products and devices

5. Design and develop system-level software for camera and imaging systems for Meta products

Minimum Qualifications:

6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

7. 5+ years software development experience in industry settings or PhD with 2+ years of experience

8. 3+ years relevant camera software engineering experience in industry settings

9. C or C++ experience, including use of C++11/14/17 features

10. Demonstrated experience working across disciplines to drive optimal solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

11. Experience developing camera software and algorithms in C/C++ for industrial products including 3A algorithm development, HDR, depth-estimation or denoising

12. In depth knowledge on camera ISP pipeline

13. Knowledge of modern ML-based camera control algorithms

14. Knowledge on modern image processing, 3D geometry, numerical optimization is a plus

15. Familiarity with the camera optics system and hardware modules is a plus

16. Experience creating Machine Learning 3A algorithm modules that bring intelligence to the camera for superior robustness and accuracy

17. Experience in Image Processing or Computational Photography, in developing any of camera related algorithms such as low-light capture, HDR, Depth estimation, video stabilization, denoising, demosaicing

18. Experience working on the camera stack on Android or other mobile platforms

19. Knowledge/experience on image quality is a plus

Public Compensation:

$70.67/hour to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
