Summary:

Meta is seeking a skilled Architect to lead the development of multimedia algorithms for Silicon Acceleration, with expertise in Imaging, Computer Vision, and Graphics. Key responsibilities include creating software models and bit-accurate specifications for hardware acceleration, with a focus on power and performance optimization. We're looking for a motivated self-starter who thrives in cross-functional environments and has a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Required Skills:

Augmented Reality Silicon Accelerators Algorithms Architect Responsibilities:

1. Solve end-to-end problems in image processing across Camera, Display, Computer Vision, and Graphics domains.

2. Invent and develop algorithms that integrate machine learning and traditional processing techniques, optimizing for high performance and low power consumption.

3. Develop software models, including functional and bit-accurate fixed-point models.

4. Collaborate closely with software teams across the stack to enable new features.

5. Support and guide silicon implementation teams in designing and verifying hardware accelerators.

Minimum Qualifications:

6. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

7. 12+ years of experience in Imaging Algorithms, CV Algorithms, and/or Graphics

8. Proven track record of developing algorithms from concept to implementation in Silicon and/or Software

9. Proficiency in C++/C programming languages, including fixed-point implementation

10. Experience with performance analysis and optimization modeling

11. Background in both classic and ML algorithms, as well as experience in developing pixel processing algorithms and optimizing imaging pipelines

Public Compensation:

$212,000/year to $291,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
