    What’s the job?

     

    The Inside Sales Manager leads a high-performing team of inside sales professionals, including a Lead Generation Supervisor, to drive customer engagement, account growth, and long-term loyalty for CertainTeed Exterior Product Sales (EPS). By delegating day-to-day operational oversight and frontline support to the Supervisor, this role is positioned to focus on higher-level strategic initiatives that align with broader business objectives.

     

    This position plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the inside sales strategy, optimizing lead conversion, and expanding product adoption through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration. Through proactive team development, performance coaching, and continuous process improvement, the Inside Sales Manager ensures scalable, customer-centric sales execution that contributes to sustained revenue growth and organizational success.

    Inside Sales Strategy & Execution-

    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with CertainTeed EPS business goals, focusing on customer engagement, product adoption, and revenue growth.-

    • Oversee execution of sales campaigns and initiatives, ensuring alignment with national priorities and market dynamics.-

    • Leverage the Lead Generation Supervisor to manage daily team operations, allowing the Manager to focus on long-term planning, performance optimization, and talent development.-

    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Inside Sales Representatives and the Supervisor, fostering a high-performance, customer-focused culture.-

    • Promote collaboration, accountability, and succession planning across the inside sales function.-

    Lead Generation & Opportunity Management-

    • Drive the integration of lead generation efforts with broader EPS sales strategies, ensuring that lead quality, volume, and conversion directly support revenue targets and market expansion goals. By elevating the function from tactical execution to strategic pipeline development, this role ensures lead generation is a key contributor to EPS’s long-term success.-

    • Set the strategic direction for lead generation, ensuring alignment with EPS growth objectives and sales pipeline needs.-

    • Partner with the Lead Generation Supervisor to oversee proactive outreach, lead qualification, and opportunity nurturing.-

    • Ensure effective routing of qualified leads to appropriate sales channels, improving conversion rates and pipeline quality.-

    • Collaborate with the Manager of Lead Generation & Management in strategy development, planning, and execution to ensure cohesive, scalable lead generation efforts that support national sales goals.-

    • Continuously refine tools, processes, and metrics to drive lead quality, conversion, and pipeline health.-

    Cross-Functional Collaboration-

    • Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, and Regional Sales to align on customer engagement strategies, campaign execution, and product positioning.-

    • Share customer insights to inform product development, service enhancements, and go-to-market strategies.-

    • Represent the inside sales function in cross-functional initiatives that enhance the customer journey and support EPS-wide objectives.-

    Reporting, Metrics & Continuous Improvement-

    • Establish and monitor KPIs for sales activity, lead conversion, and team productivity, using insights to guide strategic decisions.-

    • Analyze performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.-

    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize sales processes, enhance customer outcomes, and scale best practices across the team.-

    • Provide regular reporting and strategic insights to senior leadership to support business planning and growth.

     

    _What do you bring?_

     

    + Bachelor’s degree - Business, Marketing, or related field (equivalent experience) - Required

    + Advanced degree - MBA or advanced degree in other relevant technical fields – Preferred

    + Minimum of 8+ years of experience in inside sales with 3-5 years of managing others, preferably B2B or building materials environment - Required

    + Experience with managing remote or hybrid teams - Required

    + Demonstrated track record in cross-functional collaboration - Preferred

    + Strong communication, analytical, and CRM software skills (Salesforce) - Required
