JOB TITLE: Senior Software Engineer

DUTIES: Build applications using Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React, Angular, CSS/SCSS and HTML; design software architecture, prepare UML model and design documentation; create design diagrams and API specifications for solution implementation; develop and consume JSON, XML, file and string based RESTful services using Spring MVC and Spring Boot; implement service-to-service communication with Kafka messages and Kafka streams; implement Kafka producers and consumers for Azure event hub and confluent Kafka; implement Kubernetes secrets with Spring config server; develop Microservices using Java Spring-Boot that create, update, delete and get the assignment information from Postgres, Azure Cosmos, and Cassandra databases; develop servers for sending bulk email alerts using send-grip API; host Microservices to MS Azure cloud to Kubernetes cluster; implement horizontal auto pod scaling for Microservices in Kubernetes; develop multiple scheduler services using Cron expression; create multiple MFT (Managed File Transfer) Jobs between multiple networks with custom data transformation; implement CI/CD process using GIT Lab, Jenkins job, Maven and Gradle build, create docker image and deployment in cloud environment and VM; work with QA team for test case analysis and resolve defects.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a software engineer/developer, programmer analyst, systems analyst, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 5 years in building or developing applications using Java, JavaScript, Node.js, React, Angular, CSS/SCSS, HTML, microservice-based architecture, container orchestration frameworks including Kubernetes and Azure Cloud; 5 years in backend microservices and API development, using RESTful, Junit, Selenium, Cucumber JS unit testing library, REST, JSON, Spring Boot, Kafka, NGINX, Express, Chef, Docker, NoSQL database, Tomcat, and Git/GitHub or Bitbucket; and 3 years with Azure services including Cloud Formation Templates, S3, EC2, Lambda, Route53, CloudFront, and Apigee API Gateway.
