    V2X is growing! V2X is looking for a Value Stream Manager to join our team!

     

    A **Value Stream Manager (VSM)** oversees a specific sequence of processes and activities within the manufacturing and depot operations that deliver a product or service to customers, known as a value stream. The role focuses on optimizing these processes to maximize value, minimize waste, and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The VSM is responsible for managing cross-functional teams, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring the value stream operates efficiently and effectively. This role can apply to various industries and value streams, such as manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or technical services.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Process Oversight** : Manage all aspects of the value stream, including production, quality, safety, cost, and delivery schedules, to ensure seamless operations.

    + **Value Optimization** : Identify and eliminate non-value-adding activities, improving efficiency and customer satisfaction through lean principles or similar methodologies.

    + **Team Leadership** : Supervise and mentor front-line supervisors and cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and building diverse, high-performing teams.

    + **Continuous Improvement** : Drive process enhancements by implementing changes, leveraging data, and adopting innovative practices to increase value delivery.

    + **Strategic Planning** : Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute plans that align the value stream with organizational objectives.

    + **Resource Management** : Ensure material availability, workforce capacity, and operational schedules are aligned to meet production or service goals.

    Required Skills

    + Proficiency in enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Prism, or equivalent) for managing operations and data.

    + Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate teams and stakeholders.

    + Expertise in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and earned value management.

    + Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office Suite for planning and reporting.

    + Exceptional organizational skills to manage complex workflows and priorities.

    + Ability to lead diverse teams and adapt to varying operational demands.

    + **Ability to obtain and hold a DoD Secret Clearance**

    Education and Experience

    + Typically requires a bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in operations, manufacturing, or a related field, or 10+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

     

    The Value Stream Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring their assigned value stream—whether focused on production, assembly, fabrication, or technical services—delivers high-quality outcomes, meets customer expectations, and drives organizational success.
