The Business Operations and Learning & Development team resides within Product & Engineering’s Portfolio Strategy & Operations (PSO) organization and is integral to the company's success. PSO is responsible for driving strategic vision, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, ensuring alignment with and execution of the company’s most critical objectives. PSO enables the organization to deliver best in class products and transform the way we operate.
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Operations and Learning & Development to join our team. This pivotal role will lead a team and manage five critical areas, ensuring the seamless operation and continuous improvement of our organizational processes and development programs. The successful candidate will play a key role in directly supporting the Chief Product & Technology Officer, transforming the way the organization operates, enhancing learning and development efforts, and executing executive communications.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Operations Partners / Chief of Staff Office
+ Provide direct chief of staff duties to the Chief Product & Technology Officer.
+ Oversee and manage a team that serves as business operations partners for each product & engineering leader. This team provides support ranging from managing staff meetings to planning team budgets to ensuring quality execution of cross-org initiatives.
+ Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
2. Learning & Development Leadership
+ Lead the strategy and execution of educational and employee development initiatives targeted towards the Product & Engineering organization.
+ Own the People Empowerment Program (PEP) for Product & Engineering, empower team members to engage and prioritize their development
+ Manage third-party learning deployment (e.g., Udemy, Google Cloud Skills Boost, Franklin Covey), ensuring the delivery of high-quality development programs.
+ Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of learning and development efforts.
3. Executive Communications and Engagement
+ Plan and manage Product & Engineering executive communications, including organizational broadcasts, internal and external CPTO presentations, team “All Hands” meetings, and more.
+ Maintain the new Product & Engineering employee intranet site, keep content current with relevant news and materials.
+ Collaborate with senior leaders to convey key messages effectively.
4. Organizational Goals and Corporate Scorecards
+ Own operational cadence. Oversee the development and reporting of annual goals, operational reviews, cross-business interlocks, etc.
+ Execute on-time and quality completion of all executive level business updates, including quarterly accomplishments, ELT and BOD updates, corporate scorecard, etc.
+ Manage team member recognition programs.
5. Strategic Vision and Product Roadmaps
+ Evaluate, evolve, and facilitate how the organization creates, updates, and communicates product roadmaps and long-term strategic visions for internal and external consumption.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, commercial, engineering, and product, etc.) to ensure alignment and execution of strategic initiatives.
+ Maintain and update the Product Directory hierarchy and data.
+ Support Product team during quarterly planning and annual investment planning.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, Operations, Communications, or a related field preferred
+ 10 -15 Years Experience in business operations, learning and development, or a related field.
+ Proven experience in managing and leading teams.
+ Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Experience in executive communications and organizational reporting.
+ Strong project management and process improvement skills.
