    Seasonal Warehouse Associate - Packer

     

    Pay: $19.00 an hour

     

    Job Type: Seasonal Full Time Hours

     

    Shift Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday to Friday, weekends as needed, overtime.

    Available Shift Details

    5:30am-2:00pm Monday-Friday. Overtime hours and extra days required during peak periods.

    About the Role

    We have a terrific opportunity at our logistics & fulfillment center for a receiving associate. You will unload product from trailers (both floor loaded and palletized), scan the carton with an RF scanner, apply labels, and place on a conveyor, dolly, tier rack, or pallet adhering to established production standards and guidelines. You will be cross trained in other facility departments to support operational and business needs.

    Job Duties:

    + Unload cartons from the trailer to a conveyor system.

    + Scan Items with a handheld RF scanner and place a label on each carton.

    + Offload cartons from conveyor line onto dollies, pallets, or tier racks, as necessary.

    + Utilize pallet jack to move pallets and tier racks as needed.

    + Performs processing activities such as applying RFID tags and re-ticketing merchandise as needed.

    + Completes merchandise placards with date and carton Information.

    + Operate simple warehouse equipment as needed.

    + Promote a safe work environment by adhering to company and OSHA safety rules and procedures and reporting any unsafe behaviors or unsafe conditions to your supervisor.

    + Achieve established productivity and accuracy standards.

    + Maintain regular attendance and show up on time to work adhering to company dress code policy.

    + Maintain schedule flexibility to work overtime hours and extra days (Saturday / Sunday) as needed based on customer volume.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    + Proficiency In English sufficient to understand training, rules, and necessary operational and safety instructions both verbally and in writing.

    + Understanding of basic arithmetic.

    + Ability to determine which prescribed steps to take to process problem cartons and to resolve identified discrepancies.

    + Ability to frequently lift packages weighing 0-30 lbs. and occasionally 30-50 lbs.

    + Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift period. Note: this portion of the facility Is not air conditioned.

    + Ability to work with others in a team environment.
