**Location:** Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid – 3 days/week onsite)
**Work Status:** **W2 only** – No C2C, C2H, or third-party candidates

Client Overview:
Our Fortune 50 financial services client is seeking a skilled **Database Developer** to join their team in Jersey City, NJ. This position is part of a large-scale initiative within the Enterprise Risk and Finance Technology domain, supporting the modernization of a $1 trillion cash flow subledger system. The team supports multiple vendor applications across locations including Jersey City, Plano, Charlotte, and Rhode Island.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Analyze and optimize existing database queries and processes.
+ Recommend and implement best practices for data access and updates.
+ Enhance SQL queries to improve data retrieval and analytics performance.
+ Support ETL processes within an **Informatica** environment.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support BAU and strategic development efforts.
+ Participate in troubleshooting activities related to database operations.
+ Generate reports using **Crystal Reports** , **Tableau** , **OBIEE** , or similar tools.
+ Track and evaluate KPIs to drive business insights.
+ Write technical design and testing documentation.
+ Collaborate closely with other developers and stakeholders across the organization.
Required Skills & Experience:
+ 7–10+ years of professional experience as a Database Developer.
+ Strong proficiency in **SQL** , **T-SQL** , and performance tuning.
+ Experience with **SQL Server** , stored procedures, triggers, and user-defined functions.
+ Expertise in optimizing queries using clustered/non-clustered indexes and indexed views.
+ Solid understanding of **database architecture** , design principles, and development.
+ Experience with **reporting tools** such as **Crystal Reports** , **Tableau** , or **OBIEE** .
+ Familiarity with **version control** tools and best practices.
+ Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.
+ Strong communication and time management skills.
+ Prior experience in **banking or financial services** is **required** .
