    Our client, a key global provider of sustainable packaging solutions, is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be part of the maintenance department supporting the production team. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement, which will align successfully with the organization.

     

    **Job Title:** Maintenance Mechanic

    **Location:** Hammond, IN

    **Pay Range:** $36.60/hr (Union - Set Rate)

     

    What's the Job?

     

    + Plan and lead maintenance projects to ensure operational efficiency.

    + Diagnose and solve mechanical problems as they arise in production machinery.

    + Perform repairs and maintenance on equipment such as conveyor systems and hydraulics.

    + Conduct preventative maintenance and visually inspect machinery to prevent issues.

    + Engage in continuous improvement processes to enhance operational performance.

     

    What's Needed?

     

    + High School Diploma or GED.

    + Strong mechanical systems knowledge with experience in hydraulics and basic electricity.

    + Proficiency in welding and fabrication is preferred.

    + Ability to read blueprints and diagrams for effective repairs.

    + Physical capability to lift 50+ lbs and perform various physical tasks.
