    **Job Title:** Systems Engineer I

    **Location:** Onsite – Seattle, WA

    **Duration:** 6 Months (with potential for extension or conversion to permanent)

    **Schedule:** Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM | 40 hours/week

    **Pay Range:** $44/hr. – $46/hr. (W2)

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a **Systems Engineer I** to support infrastructure operations with a focus on data pipeline reliability, database access management, and automation. This role requires a hands-on, solutions-oriented engineer with a strong foundation in SQL, ETL pipeline support, and system troubleshooting in high-volume IT environments.

    Top 3 Must-Have Hard Skills:

    1. **SQL (Intermediate Level)**

    2. **ETL Data Pipeline and Database Experience**

    3. **Experience Using Ticketing Systems**

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage and maintain database access and monitor ETL data pipelines for performance and reliability.

    + Drive innovation and process improvement through infrastructure automation.

    + Develop and document repeatable processes that optimize workflow and elevate customer experience.

    + Resolve technical issues at the root level and implement long-term solutions via automation.

    + Adhere to and advocate for best practices in system security, testing, documentation, and resource management.

    + Create metrics that highlight improvements in operational performance.

    + Collaborate cross-functionally to support incident management and project delivery.

    Core Requirements:

    + 0–2 years of professional experience in a systems engineering or infrastructure support role.

    + Experience with SQL (intermediate proficiency), database administration, and data analysis.

    + Experience with ETL pipeline development and troubleshooting.

    + Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with ticketing systems.

    + Scripting and automation experience in Perl, Python, and shell scripting.

    + Understanding of server configuration, access controls, and security best practices.

    + Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (preferred).

    Highly Desirable:

    + Knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Glue, Redshift, and familiarity with Apache Airflow and Neo4j.

    + Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Mercurial, SVN).

    + Prior exposure to large-scale, distributed environments and disk subsystem monitoring.
