Who we want
The Development Relations Coordinator, under supervision of the Dean, enables the success of the Dean’s development efforts and enhances the overall effectiveness of the Mays development team in collaboration with key Mays Business School divisions (Business Services, Events & Donor Relations). This development operations professional serves as a liaison connecting integral internal functions, triaging incoming development inquiries, facilitating donor relations and stewardship, and managing communication efforts for the Dean to enhance engagement and inspire philanthropic giving and build a culture of philanthropy.
Essential Duties/Tasks
Liaison & Donor Stewardship
+ Act as a liaison between the Dean, Dean's Office, and the Texas A&M Foundation to implement stewardship strategies, manage donor-related information, and oversee gift agreements, acknowledgments, and recognition processes. Approximately 80% of effort will be to support the Dean and the Dean’s development initiatives.
+ Manage donor stewardship efforts, including assisting the Dean with his portfolio of principal-level donors, coordinating recognition events, and recommending personalized items for donors and prospects
+ Collaborate with the Dean and other college leaders on donor outreach strategies, customized endowment reports, impactful campus experiences, and special initiatives to enhance development operations
Fundraising & Event Coordination
+ Collaborate and coordinate with the Mays Experience Team on college-based fundraising activities and coordinate membership activities/events for Mays and other donor groups
+ Develop and coordinate event needs, including agendas, presentation topics, speaker lists, and special activities for donor/former student events
+ Work with college staff to handle event logistics specific to donor events
+ Coordinate development event calendars and coordinate Development Councils and Volunteer Boards with planning team
• Administrative & Operational Support
+ Approximately 20% of effort will be to support college-wide development efforts including support for the A&M Foundation team at Mays
+ Use the Foundation's CRM software for entry and documentation of development and stewardship activities
+ Share knowledge, identify process improvements, and contribute to team effectiveness within Mays Produce bi-weekly donor thank-you letter templates and assist with donor-related communications (e.g., program booklets, brochures, flyers) for the Dean

Collaboration & Process Facilitation
+ Work closely with the Dean and college business office to manage donor accounts, provide updates on scholarships, professorships, and chairs, reconcile agreements, and maximize resource allocations
+ Facilitate processes with Mays Marketing and Communications team to create effective funding proposals and communications Collaborate with internal departments and utilize Foundation resources to enhance purposeful fundraising efforts

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
+ Bachelor's degree
+ 4 years of relevant experience overseeing business operations
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in collaborating with leadership and high-profile individuals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
+ Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
+ Ability to positively and professionally interact with clients and staff.
+ Working knowledge of office software
