Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an entry-level accountant to join a prestigious international law firm client. This accountant will be a member of the firms accounting team, responsible for supporting a variety of finance and accounting functions. This role will entail general ledger accounting duties, budgeting, tax, and additional projects. To be successful in this role, the accountant must have a bachelors degree in accounting or finance and have excellent critical thinking, communication, and analytical skills.

The day-to-day responsibilities may include:

Compile and analyze financial information to prepare journal entries

Foreign operations accounting and Fixed Asset accounting

Prepare financial statements for internal and external reporting purposes

Preparation and analysis of monthly variance, budget, and account reconciliation; partner with department managers and provide actual to budget variance analysis

Overhead allocation of asset and costs between offices and departments

Create presentations for management using Excel and PowerPoint

This is a full-time position that is hybrid, in the office 3 days a week, in New York, NY.

Compensation

$70,000 to $80,000 per year annual salary.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, geographic location, education, and consideration of internal equity.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelors degree in accounting or finance with a strong academic and extracurricular/work record

Experience extracting information from various sources using reporting tools (Access, Crystal Reports)

Ability to detect and report data inconsistencies and out of balance data

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint

Detail oriented, critical thinker, and strong communication and analytical skills General ledger experience
