    The stated pay range is based on a national-average location. Actual salary is determined by factors including relevant work experience, skills and location.

     

    **CNO Financial Group** is hiring a **Business Analyst Corporate Investigations and Support** to work Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) referrals received from internal and external sources. In this role you will work closely with investigators during the review process to determine the appropriate actions required to mitigate losses.

     

    This is your opportunity to develop meaningful and lasting relationships with business partners (OPS, Legal, Compliance, Claims, Information Technology) for optimized process flows, case resolution, and prompt handling of high priority items.

    As a** **Business Analyst Corporate Investigations and Support,** **your responsibilities will include:

    + Meet department and individual goals while adhering to all state and federal regulations, company ethics and integrity standards.

    + Review referrals and determine the appropriate course of action including conducting desktop research alongside the assigned SIU investigator, maintain and complete documentation, and propose recommendation for next steps and/or closure.

    + Determine and conduct outgoing communication requirements to policyholder, etc. to determine the validity of the request.

    + Perform outgoing calls to impacted parties related to referral when necessary.

    + Review and research FWA reports/lists/systems with pertinent information.

    + Work with business partners in various forums to discuss open cases, recommend actions, and escalate as necessary.

    + Empowered to make decisions such as ordering supporting reviews, documentation, internet research, etc. in reference to open cases.

    + Works with business on any post-case closure activities.

    + Determine and document financial impact at the time of case closure.

    + Stay connected with internal departments to broaden knowledge of business processes (claims, PHS, Premium, New Business, Commissions), policy language, and federal/state insurance regulations to determine appropriate action to conduct FWA analysis and applicable controls.

    The Business Analyst Corporate Investigations and Support position** **is well-suited for you if you:

    + Possess excellent oral and written communication, presentation, research, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to interact with various internal and external stakeholders.

    + Are self-motivated, work well independently and possess a sense of urgency.

    + Have outstanding critical thinking, analytical, thinking outside the box, and problem-solving skills with a risk mindset, evaluating the level of risk exposure to the Enterprise by weighing the risk on each action.

    + Are highly organized and able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.

    + Can make recommendations, decisions, and identify when escalation is needed.

    + Are customer focused, people oriented and energetic, with a sense of urgency and strong work ethic.

    + Take ownership of work and ensure all tasks are completed (pre, during, and post case review).

    + Efficiently navigate CNO systems for research and analysis.

    What you’ll need:

    + Associate's Degree in Fraud Risk, Insurance, Financial Services, or four years of relevant work experience.

    + Five years of professional relevant work experience.

    + Excel and data entry experience.

    + Flexibility to work in our Carmel Office multiple times monthly.

    What will set you apart:

    + Bachelor's Degree Fraud Risk, Insurance or Financial Services.

    + Professional Insurance or related work designations.

    + Eight years of relevant work experience.

    + Health Care Anti-Fraud Associate (HCAFA) Designation.
