    Cybersecurity Specialist

    Suffolk, VA (100% onsite)

    **Clearance:** Active Secret required

    **Contract Type:** Full-time | 5-year cleared IT Modernization Program

    Overview:

    We are seeking cleared **Cybersecurity Specialists** to support a long-term, mission-critical IT modernization effort. This program is focused on improving cyber readiness and secure operations across global enterprise systems.

     

    Successful candidates will play a key role in implementing cybersecurity frameworks, conducting risk assessments, and supporting compliance efforts across classified and unclassified environments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Develop and maintain Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation and ATO packages

    + Perform cyber risk assessments, security control implementation, and vulnerability mitigation

    + Operate within eMASS, Nessus, ACAS, and other DoD security tools

    + Ensure compliance with FISMA, NIST 800-53, and relevant federal cyber standards

    + Support audit readiness and continuous monitoring efforts

    + Collaborate with cybersecurity teams, stakeholders, and system owners to maintain secure operations

    Basic Qualifications:

    + Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred for certain roles)

    + 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, RMF, or information assurance

    + Familiarity with DoD IT environments and cybersecurity requirements

    + Strong understanding of RMF processes and supporting toolsets

    Desired Skills & Certifications:

    + Security+, CISSP, CASP+, or CISM (DoD 8570 compliant)

    + Experience with eMASS, vulnerability scanning, and system hardening

    + Knowledge of DevSecOps, cloud security (AWS/Azure), or network modernization

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills
