    Description

    Overview:

    We are seeking an experienced and versatile Accounting Manager with a strong background in both audit and tax to join our client's firm. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5–7 years of public accounting experience, demonstrate leadership in managing financial functions, and have hands-on expertise in both tax and audit processes. This role will also oversee bookkeeping functions and assist with compilations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Manage and perform both audit and tax engagements across various clients, primarily in the real estate/construction industry.

    + Review and supervise the work of bookkeepers and staff.

    + Oversee compilation engagements and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements.

    + Collaborate with clients year-round on audits, tax filings, and related accounting issues.

    + Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

    + Utilize industry-specific software to manage workflows and reporting.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting. CPA certification is required.

    + 5–7+ years of public accounting experience.

    + Prior audit experience with additional exposure to tax, or vice versa.

    + Proficient with accounting software including Engagement, UltraTax, ProSystemFX,, CCH, and PPC.

    + Experience working with clients in the real estate/construction industry is strongly preferred.

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.

    + Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.

    + Strong communication skills and client service focus.
