    Description

    We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Database Developer/Data Scientist to join our client’s innovative team located in Oakbrook, IL. This role is ideal for a professional who possesses strong expertise in SQL and Python, and has exposure to Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. The successful candidate will help develop, implement, and optimize advanced data strategies while contributing to forward-thinking projects that leverage the power of AI and ML.

    WKey Responsibilities:

    + Database Development:

    + Design, develop, and maintain relational and non-relational databases to support data-driven applications.

    + Optimize data storage, retrieval, and performance using advanced SQL techniques.

    + Develop ETL workflows and data pipelines to ensure efficient data processing.

    + Data Analysis & Science:

    + Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights using statistical methods and machine-learning algorithms.

    + Build predictive models and develop AI-driven solutions to support business objectives.

    + Visualize and communicate data findings through dashboards and reporting tools.

    + Programming & Automation:

    + Develop scripts and applications in Python for data manipulation, automation, and analytical processes.

    + Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy scalable data solutions.

    + Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence:

    + Apply foundational knowledge of ML/AI techniques to model building, data prediction, and problem solving.

    + Work with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Scikit-learn to optimize ML/AI algorithms.

    + Collaboration:

    + Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data solutions meet business needs.

    + Contribute to brainstorming and strategy sessions, incorporating trends in AI and ML.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    + Proven hands-on experience in database development using SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server).

    + Proficiency in Python and experience with data libraries such as pandas, numpy, etc.

    + Exposure to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence concepts, frameworks, and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).

    + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working on predictive models.

    + Knowledge of cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    Preferred Skills:

    + Experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).

    + Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

    + Practical knowledge of BI tools (e.g., Tableau or PowerBI) for data visualization.

    + Hands-on experience with APIs and workflow automation.

    + Exposure to ethical AI practices and developing responsible solutions.

    Education and Certification:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.

    + Relevant certifications such as Microsoft SQL Server, Python, or AI/ML certifications are advantageous.
