As an Application Security Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in enabling developers to create secure applications and infrastructure. By blending "shift left" and "shift right" security approaches, you'll seamlessly embed security practices into fast-paced development workflows while ensuring robust application security monitoring.

     

    Collaborating across teams, you'll champion secure-by-default solutions, shape security practices for a growing platform, and lead engineers in creating tools and methodologies that safeguard the technology ecosystem.     Your key responsibilities will include:

    + Monitoring and analyzing security infrastructure to identify suspicious activities.

    + Leading and coordinating incident response efforts for remediation and closure.

    + Triaging vulnerabilities, maintaining bug bounty programs, and prioritizing remediation.

    + Conducting security audits, vulnerability assessments, and reducing risks.

    + Evaluating and implementing security controls across devices and cloud environments.

    + Collaborating with IT, DevOps, and Cloud Infrastructure to integrate security practices and tools.

    + Developing scripts, automation tools, and integrations for security reporting and operations.

    + Building dashboards for cross-org security metrics and monitoring.

    + Conducting developer security awareness training and championing best practices.

    + Staying informed about emerging threats and proactively updating security measures.

    + Ensuring compliance with regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001) and assisting with audits.

    Requirements

    What You’ll Bring To The Team

     

    + 5+ years of experience in a security operations and/or vulnerability management role

    + Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash), APIs, and integration for automation of security tasks

    + Lead the development and implementation of secure-by-default solutions across engineering

    + Serve as an SME and conduct threat modeling on new and existing products with engineering

    + Design and lead developer security training to enhance design and coding best practices

    + Maintain automated security testing tools and scripts within CI/CD pipelines such as SCA, SAST, DAST, and CNAPP

    + Evaluate and implement next generation tools to embed security in Development processes

    + Document incidents, response actions, and lessons learned to improve future responses

    + Experience with macOS MDM and cloud-native environments, (e.g. AWS or GCP) is required
