Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented HR Manager with a strong background in payroll processing to join our Human Resources team. This role will provide support in all facets of HR management, including employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, compliance, and performance management, while also ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing. The successful candidate will be comfortable handling multiple HR tasks and maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Administration:
• Oversee and process weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
• Maintain and update employee payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, and benefits deductions.
• Ensure timely distribution of paychecks or direct deposits, including processing garnishments, tax deductions, and other withholdings.
• Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
• Stay up-to-date with changes to payroll laws, tax rates, and labor regulations to ensure compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance/Accounting departments to provide necessary reports, tax filings, and audits.
• Manage year-end payroll tasks, including W-2 distribution, reporting, and compliance with government filings.
HR Generalist Responsibilities:
• Recruitment & Onboarding: Assist with the recruitment process, including job postings, interviewing, and onboarding new hires. Ensure smooth transition for new employees, including completion of all necessary paperwork and training.
• Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies, benefits, payroll, and other HR matters. Handle employee concerns or complaints with discretion and professionalism.
• Compliance & Policies: Ensure company policies and procedures comply with local, state, and federal labor laws. Maintain up-to-date employee files and documentation in accordance with legal requirements.
• Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, and retirement plans. Coordinate open enrollment periods and handle employee benefit-related inquiries.
• Performance Management: Assist with performance review processes, ensuring timely completion of appraisals, and tracking employee performance metrics.
• Training & Development: Assist in organizing training programs, ensuring employees have access to necessary learning and development opportunities.
• Recordkeeping & Reporting: Maintain accurate HR records and prepare reports on HR activities, payroll, and benefits as requested by management.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5 + years of experience in HR, with at least 1-2 years of direct payroll processing experience.
• Must be Bilingual (English/ Spanish)
• Strong knowledge of payroll systems and relevant payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, UKG or similar).
• Familiarity with state and federal labor laws, wage and hour regulations, and payroll tax requirements.
• Ability to manage confidential information with integrity and discretion.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HRIS systems.
• Certification in Payroll (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional, CPP) is a plus.
