Are you a hands-on financial leader with deep expertise in **cost accounting and government compliance** within the **aerospace or high-volume manufacturing sector** ? We’re partnering with a growing aerospace manufacturer in **Long Beach, CA** that is expanding its operations and seeking an experienced **Operations Controller** to support **multiple sites** .

This is a **key leadership role** responsible for maintaining a compliant **Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)** system, managing inventory and cost controls, and providing actionable financial insights to support business growth.

What You’ll Do:

+ Lead all cost accounting activities across multiple locations, ensuring compliance with CAS, FAR, and DFARS

+ Maintain and improve ERP-based cost systems and related accounting procedures

+ Oversee inventory audits, cycle counts, and variance analysis to improve operational efficiency

+ Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to support pricing, margin analysis, and decision-making

+ Prepare and present cost proposals, burden rates, and monthly financial reports

+ Direct the **FP&A team of three analysts** , ensuring timely and accurate reporting

+ Support audits and ensure readiness for government contract compliance

What We’re Looking For:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA is a plus)

+ 7–10 years of cost accounting experience in **aerospace or high-volume manufacturing**

+ Strong knowledge of **standard vs. actual costing** , FFP and Cost-Plus contracts

+ Experience supporting **multi-site operations** in a fast-paced environment

+ Working knowledge of **government audits and financial compliance**

+ Leadership experience managing financial analysts or FP&A teams

**Pay Details:** $140,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
