    The General Production Worker is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of the production line while adhering to safety, quality, and environmental standards. This role encompasses various tasks including ingredient handling, weighing, and maintaining sanitary conditions, while following all applicable regulations and company policies.

     

    The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication and collaboration with team members are essential to ensure smooth operations and adherence to production schedules. Additionally, the General Production Worker is expected to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for greater efficiency and cost savings.

    Key Responsibilities

    Safety and Environmental Compliance

    • Understand and recognize the safety risks associated with the job.

    • Comply with all safety rules, procedures, and work practices.

    • Report all safety and environmental incidents promptly.

    • Read and understand the Safety, Health, and Environmental Policy.

    • Understand the environmental impacts of the job and comply with all related rules and procedures.

    Quality Assurance

    • Always Follow established recipes and procedures; unauthorized deviations are strictly forbidden.

    • Comply with FDA and USDA rules, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

    • Maintain confidentiality regarding recipes and report any deviations from established procedures.

    • Monitor product quality and appearance, ensuring compliance with Essential Quality Attributes (EQA).

    Operations

    • Prepare, label, and deliver ingredients to weighers and operators, ensuring timely availability for production.

    • Complete SAP transactions for all commodities prior to usage.

    • Assist with line start-up and mid-shift operations efficiently.

    • Be fully responsible for assigned areas and products, notifying necessary support groups of any issues.

    • Accurately weigh and place ingredients in food trays, ensuring proper quantities are maintained.

    • Monitor and maintain sanitary conditions on the production line and in assigned areas.

    • Sort out sub-standard products and dispose of waste properly.

    • Communicate effectively with production associates and support groups regarding any issues or pertinent information.

    Documentation and Reporting

    • Complete all paperwork legibly, accurately, and in a timely manner.

    • Maintain an accurate count of materials used and calculate yields at breaks, lunch, and end of shift.

    • Provide collected data and paperwork to the supervisor at the end of each shift.

    • Lift 50lbs

    Additional Duties

    • Clean, sanitize, breakdown, and assemble production areas and equipment as assigned.

    • Actively seek innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and avoid production losses.

    • Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisors.

    Qualifications

    - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

     

    - Previous experience in a production environment is desirable.

     

    - Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

     

    - Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

     

    This role is essential in maintaining the high standards of quality and efficiency expected in our production processes. The General Production Worker plays a vital part in ensuring that all safety, quality, and environmental guidelines are strictly adhered to, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

     

    + **Contract Type:** Temp to perm (520hrs)

    + **Pay:** $15.20 to 16.20/ HR (according to shift)
