Regional Nurse

Looking for a strong Regional Nurse to oversee multiple buildings throughout Westchester & Central NY.

Must have at least 3 years prior experience as a Regional Nurse for skilled nursing facilities. Flexible, dependable, self-directed. Ability to function independently with minimal oversight.

+ Asses & evaluate clinical services in assigned facilities to identify areas for clinical improvement.

+ Complete and submit visit reports & audit results to the Chief Nursing Officer or Director of Clinical Operations.

+ Act as a regional mentor & coaches DONs for success at local facilities.

+ May need to assist the DON in reviewing candidates for RN Management positions.

+ Schedule facility/regional visits based on facility issues and compliance needs.

+ Schedule regional training / professional development meetings for DONs no less than quarterly.

+ Establish quarterly/annual performance improvement goals together with local & regional clinical staff.

+ Ensure compliance with State/ Federal regulations and current standards of practice.

+ Provide assistance & support throughout the survey process including preparation for survey, writing a plan of correction & developing an action plan, and monitoring for compliance.

Experience:

+ Regional DON: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

+ RN (Preferred)

Work Location: Multiple Locations

Qualifications of the Regional Nurse:

+ Must have experience in long term care

+ Must be willing to travel

+ Must have prior experience in a clinical leadership position

+ Must have a strong clinical background
