Job Title: Automation Systems Engineer

Position Overview

This is a high-priority role focused on supporting the company’s building automation needs. The Automation Systems Engineer will work in an office-based setting, responsible for programming, building databases, and creating user graphics for HVAC building automation systems. Fieldwork is not required.

Key Responsibilities

+ Program and configure building automation systems using platforms such asJohnson Controls, Honeywell, and Delta.

+ Build system databases and develop user interface graphics.

+ Collaborate with team members and project managers.

+ Occasionally lead commissioning functional test efforts at project sites (without field presence).

Required Qualifications

+ Strong understanding ofmechanical systemsandHVAC building automation controls.

+ Familiarity with system sequences and control strategies.

+ Experience withJohnson Controls, Honeywell, and Deltaplatforms.

+ Ability to communicate effectively with internal teams.

+ Not an entry-level position—prior experience in building automation is required.

Preferred Background

+ Experience with additional platforms such asSiemensandAllerton.

+ Hands-on experience in programming and integrating mechanical systems.

Disqualifiers

+ Candidates with only general programming experience (e.g.,Python or C++) and no platform-specific experience will not be considered.

Education

+ A bachelor’s degree is not required.

+ Candidates with anassociate’s degreeand relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Training

+ Platform-specific training will be provided.

+ Candidates must already understand the fundamentals of controls and equipment.

+ Training duration may range from1 to 4 weeks, depending on prior experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $86000.00 - $110000.00/yr.
