    Maintenance Technician - Electrical

     

    The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the operational reliability and uptime of production and facility equipment through expert-level troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems. This role supports high-speed manufacturing operations and requires a strong background in electrical systems, PLCs, and industrial automation. The ideal candidate is a hands-on problem solver with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting

     

    - Diagnose and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic tools.- Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on production machinery including: - Injection and blow molders - Fillers, cappers, and labelers - Case packers, conveyors, palletizers, and stretch wrappers- Maintain and troubleshoot facility systems such as: - Chillers, air compressors, HVAC systems - Reverse Osmosis and water filtration units

    Electrical Systems & Controls

    - Maintain and troubleshoot industrial control systems, including PLCs and HMIs.- Work safely with high-voltage (480VAC) and low-voltage (24VDC) systems.- Modify control logic and electrical circuits to enhance equipment performance.

    Documentation & Reporting

    - Complete work orders, maintenance logs, and parts usage reports accurately.- Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and recommend procurement as needed.- Provide feedback on recurring issues and suggest long-term solutions.

    Safety & Compliance

    - Follow all plant safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and PPE requirements.- Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.

    Qualifications:Education & Experience

    - Associate’s Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field.- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in high-speed manufacturing (e.g., beverage, packaging, plastics).

    Technical Skills

    - Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals.- Skilled in PLC troubleshooting and programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).- Capable of performing fabrication tasks including MIG, TIG, or stick welding.- Familiar with CMMS for tracking maintenance activities.
