    **Job Summary:** CBA Negotiated Position. Performs duties described in the Service Contract Act Service Order ELECTRICIAN, MAINTENANCE. May perform duties of other classifications that have a pay rate equal to or lower than the employee’s current rate.

     

    This position is physically located at MCSF Blount Island.

     

    **Duties/Essential Functions:** **23160 ELECTRICIAN, MAINTENANCE (Occupational Base) description from the Service Contract Act (SCA) Dictionary of Occupations (DOT):** Performs a variety of electrical trade functions such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. Work involves most of the following: installing or repairing any variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment; working from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications; locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment; working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment; and using a variety of electrician’s hand tools and measuring and testing instruments. In general, the work of the maintenance electrician requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

    **LEAD** **Requirements** :

    + Coordinates maintenance and repair work assignments for the Electric, HVAC, Plumbing, Generator, and Electronic Techs crew based on approved requirements.

    + Interprets building drawings and specifications.

    + Directs electrician crews with proper techniques and procedures.

    + Knowledgeable of customer and contractor interfaces.

    + Responsible for the development of safety plans and procedures.

    **Qualification/Education/Experience** : Completion of Electrician apprenticeship

    **Certificate/License/Registration** :

    + Duval County or Surrounding County Journeymen Electrician License

    + Valid Driver’s License
