    As a Configuration Technician Team Lead assigned to a client through iT1 Consulting, you will play a dual role: providing hands-on technical support for the setup, configuration, and deployment of IT assets, while also leading and mentoring a team of technicians. You will serve as the primary point of contact for escalations, ensure quality standards are met, and coordinate daily operations to support the client’s technology initiatives. Your leadership will help drive efficiency, maintain high service standards, and foster a collaborative team environment.

    Requirements

    + Lead a team of configuration technicians, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.

    + Oversee daily workflow and task assignments to ensure timely and accurate completion of client deliverables.

    + Set up and configure computers, peripherals, and other hardware based on project scope.

    + Perform advanced troubleshooting and serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues.

    + Ensure quality control standards are met across all imaging, configuration, and deployment tasks.

    + Coordinate with client stakeholders and iT1 leadership to align on project goals and timelines.

    + Monitor and report on team metrics, productivity, and issue resolution.

    + Support training and onboarding of new team members.

    + Maintain documentation of processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.

    + Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.

    Essential Functions:

    + Image and quality-check laptops, desktops, and VDI environments.

    + Configure and deploy printers (Zebra, Canon), card readers, and other peripherals.

    + Install and configure hardware/software on user devices and servers.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues, including remote support.

    + Support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Vision deployments, and SCCM software rollouts.

    + Utilize PowerShell for automation and configuration tasks.

    + Respond to and manage ServiceNow tickets, ensuring timely resolution.

    + Coordinate hardware shipments and deployment readiness.

    Job Qualification Requirements:

    +  3+ years of IT support or configuration experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or mentoring role.

    + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience.

    + Proficiency in Windows and Mac OS, desktop applications, and printer configuration.

    + Experience with Autopilot, JAMF, PowerShell, and SCCM is a plus.

    + Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

    + Reliable transportation for local travel (up to 25%).

    Physical Demands:

    + Lifting or carrying up to 40 lbs

    + Standing for long periods of time

    + Time spent in low postures (crouching, stooping, kneeling, bending)

    + Climbing (ramps, stairs, or ladders)

    + Sit at a computer for 8 hours per day

    + Keyboarding for 8 hours per day

    + Reaching Overhead

    + Near Vision (working with small objects or reading small print)

    + Speaking (communicating information to clients / coworkers)

     

    Job Location: Phoenix, AZ

     

    Working Hours: Monday – Friday - Shift will be between the hours of 7 AM and 6 PM AZ
