    DESCRIPTION:

    Duties: Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Involved in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with product owners, project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Participate in the installation, configuration, operation, and monitoring of CI/CD pipeline tools and on-premises technologies. Participate in software application releases and work on release schedules and approvals in Release Manager. Monitor application stability and provide subject matter expert-level production support as required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Minimum education and experience required: Master's in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as Java Developer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's in Information Technology Management, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Java Developer, Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation. Employer will accept pre- or post-bachelor's degree experience.

     

    Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience in each of the following: Data manipulation, data structuring, data design flow, and query optimization using SQL; Cloud platforms including Azure, AWS, and GCP; Designing and developing interactive Excel and PPT reports with functionalities including vlookup, index match, data analysis add-ons, pivots, VBA, and VBScript; Designing and architecting scalable back-end systems using Java EE in Spring MVC and Hibernate; Building scheduled batch and CICS jobs using COBOL; Creating APIs using z/OS Db2 Connect and Kafka; Deploying scalable and resilient applications using technology ecosystems such as Kubernetes and Cloud Foundry. This position requires one (1) year of experience in each of the following: Creating APIs and procedures using COBOL, CICS, VSAM, and MVS JCL; Creating data-intensive APIs using GraphQL and OpenAPI; Deploying MoneyMovement APIs using Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment methodologies, including Chat-Ops; Developing code and maintaining proper versioning using building tools like GRADLE, GIT, TeamCity, Jenkins and Antifactory; Building resilient applications using scalable distributed technologies including Kafka, Mongo, Ignite and Redis; Building real- time money-movement dashboards using monitoring tools such as Grafana, Splunk and Prometheus; Building scalable and resilient high-traffic Payment Processing Applications; Payment Compliance and Risk functions; Managing and optimizing post-trade workflows, including confirmation, settlement, and asset/cash reconciliation processes. This position requires any amount of experience in the following: Implementing security practices including secure coding, strong encryption algorithms, and access controls during the development of APIs; Debugging production issues across services and several levels of the stack; Developing software using Agile and Scrum Methodology. Employer will accept pre- or post-bachelor's degree experience with skills.
