    JOB TITLE: Senior Cloud Engineer

     

    DUTIES: Provide cloud-based solutions, and cloud software development using AWS, Azure, or GPC. Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, and build features using Groovy scripting language to orchestrate CI/CD pipelines. Automate the build, test, and deployment processes. Ensure seamless integration of new code into existing systems. Use tools like Terraform and cloud-formation to manage and provision infrastructure. Write scripts and templates to automate the creation and management of infrastructure. Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance and availability. Set up logging systems to aggregate and analyze logs for troubleshooting and performance optimization. Work closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth delivery of applications. Use tools such as Jenkins, App Center, Bitrise for configuration management. Ensure consistency across development, testing, and production environments. Implement security best practices within the CI/CD pipeline. Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations. Automate repetitive tasks to increase efficiency and reduce human error. Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures. Evaluate and recommend cloud services and solutions based on business needs. Manage cloud infrastructure, including provisioning, monitoring, and maintaining cloud resources. Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization. Plan and execute the migration of on-premises applications and data to the cloud. Ensure minimal downtime and data integrity during migrations. Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Design and implement disaster recovery plans and backup strategies. Regularly test disaster recovery plans to ensure they meet business requirements. Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud resources. Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks. Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools for cloud management. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers. Lead technical discussions and guide the team in adopting new technologies and best practices. Demonstrate proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google cloud. Responsible for scripting and programming using tools such as Python, Bash, and Powershell. Work with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

     

    REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Senior Cloud Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 6 years of experience in cloud software development using AWS, Azure, or GPC, and AWS platform management and support, and cloud software testing. Experience therein to include 5 years of experience with observability tools including New Relic, Datadog or Splunk. Experience therein to include 3 years of experience in software development using Terraform, Python, Shell scripting, PowerShell scripting, Git, and Containerization including Docker, EKS, and ECS. Hybrid role, ability to work from home.
