Description:
Lead Pharmacy Technician - Full Time 40 Hours Day Shift
The Lead Pharmacy Technician will primarily support a centralized prior authorization clinic in Muskegon, MI. Pharmacy technician support involves resolving and appealing prior authorization claims from Trinity Health Medical Group. The technician may also support other ambulatory pharmacy clinics as needed. The lead will be responsible for ongoing process improvement and coordination with pharmacy manager and clinical coordinator.
What the Lead Pharmacy Technician will need:
+ Minimum High school education or equivalent.
+ Preferred, completion of formal pharmacy technician training program.
+ Certified and licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in the State of Michigan.
+ 5 years of pharmacy work experience with at least two years as a Pharmacy Technician IV at Trinity Health
+ Prefer previous experience with project improvement and management.
+ Prefer previous experience working within multi disciplinary teams.
What the Lead Pharmacy Technician will do:
+ Maintains competencies required to be able to function as a Technician II - IV
+ Serves as an internal resource regarding the functioning and administration their area of responsibility.
+ Responsible for coordinating personnel training for Technician II - IV in area of responsibility. Develops annual competency
+ program and coordinates validation completion as applicable for area of responsibility.
+ Maintains logs, records, and other required files and documentation; answers telephone and pneumatic tube; and handles cash
+ transactions.
+ Able to resolve problems with minimal interventions or supervision
