    Responsibilities

    The Division of Medical Oncology at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida seeks a Medical Oncologist with a demonstrated interest in the management of patients with gynecologic malignancies.

     

    The Mayo Clinic is an NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center, renowned for its robust research infrastructure and commitment to advancing cancer care. Its research portfolio spans preclinical and clinical drug development, applied basic science, cancer epidemiology, and health outcomes research. Cancer clinical trials are conducted through a broad array of mechanisms, including the Mayo Clinic Ovarian Cancer SPORE, the National Clinical Trials Network (Alliance, ECOG-ACRIN, NRG), the NCI Experimental Therapeutics Clinical Trials Network, and the Academic and Community Cancer Research United (ACCRU) network, among others housed within the Department of Oncology and the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center. In addition, Mayo Clinic is expanding its cell therapy program, with ovarian cancer identified as one of its key focus areas, reflecting a strategic commitment to immunotherapeutic innovation in gynecologic malignancies.

     

    The Gynecologic Medical Oncology Group within the Division of Medical Oncology currently consists of two physicians, one nurse practitioner, and two skilled nurses, all of whom offer state-of-the art cancer care in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and all of whom are actively engaged in research.

    Qualifications

    The successful candidate must be board-certified/board-eligible in medical oncology with a strong commitment to improving outcomes for patients with gynecological malignancies. Must be eligible for state licensure in Florida. Although the position is primarily for the Gynecologic Medical Oncology Group, applicants interested in treating other women’s cancers will be considered.
