Job Summary and Qualifications
The Senior Technical Analyst (STA) implements and supports a broad range of facility based ITG equipment. As the key technical service resource within the facility, the STA is responsible for the set-up and repair of facility-based, end-user infrastructure and resolution of desktop incidents and requests reported by facility users to the service desk. Advanced hands-on technical support is provided across a broad range of technical areas. Problems beyond the scope of ability or responsibility are communicated in a timely manner to appropriate division-level support staff. The Sr. Technical Analyst participates in 24x7 oncall support with other members of the division staff. The Sr. Technical Analyst adheres to and supports HCA IT policies and procedures, and recommends process changes that improve the implementation, maintenance and support of facility-based IT equipment. The STA assists with facility-based project planning, strategic planning, and supplements on-site support to technical resources, as needed.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Effectively works with division and corporate ITG personnel to ensure that division priorities and standards are achieved
+ Effectively works with customers, Service Desk and Technical Services personnel
+ Participates in facility-based IT project planning, as needed
+ Participates in meetings, committees and continuing education to improve individual, departmental and organizational performance
+ Mentors and trains Division Technical Analysts
+ Drives standardization and documentation relating to Facility Technical Analyst roles.
+ Exhibits deep, comprehensive knowledge of core infrastructures, including networking and server administration.
+ Provides advanced, hands-on technical support across a broad range of technical user problems; repairs equipment and performs preventative maintenance
+ Responsible for ensuring technical documentation exists for locally supported systems, including Knowledge Base and support articles.
+ Investigates hardware problems and performs minor system hardware and communication connection repairs
+ Acts as facility lead on technical project implementations; coordinates infrastructure-based needs for facility based new construction
+ Recommends process changes that improve the implementation, maintenance and support of facility and division-based IT equipment.
+ Coordinates work among the local technical services team.
+ Responsible for asset management tasks for the facility.
+ Communicates and escalates incidents and requests beyond scope of ability to senior service resources
+ Logs and tracks incidents and requests; reviews incident and request tracking databases
+ Aids and trains users on proper use of division and/or facility technology
+ Provides 24x7 on-call support based on division IT staff rotation Rev Date 12.2023
+ Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and employee information

EDUCATION:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems preferred or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE:
+ 5+ years of general work experience (IT or healthcare experience preferred).
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE:
+ Basic certification in Cisco equipment or Microsoft Products is highly desirable; education and/or experience may be substituted
+ Valid state driver’s license, proof of auto insurance, and reliable personal transportation capable of transporting both employee and standard work equipment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, lifting, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting paper and/or boxes up to 50 pounds. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing with angry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to provide staffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations. Occasional travel between facilities may be required.
