    Description

    A regional growing mid-sized legal organization is seeking a General Counsel. Primary focuses of this role include overseeing employment law and malpractice matters, supporting human resources, drafting, revising and reviewing contracts (such as operating agreements and employment agreements) and being an active member and contributor to the C-Suite.

     

    The salary range is 175-210k DOE with additional bonus earnings. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, 401(k) plan with company matching (100% up to 3% and 50% up to 5%), unlimited PTO for vacation/sick days, paid federal holidays, paid volunteer time and other perks.

     

    The role can be worked fully remote or hybrid from one of their multiple Washington or Arizona offices. Travel will be required for quarterly meetings and office visits (up to 20% of your time). Travel expenses are paid by company.

    Requirements

    Ideal candidates will have the following qualifications:

    - 6+ years of experience as an in-house corporate counsel or general counsel

     

    - Experience advising on employment law matters, updating and creating HR policies, supporting HR conversations and functions, and working with outside counsel when necessary

     

    - Experience with business law such as drafting operating and employment agreements

     

    - Prior experience with malpractice matters a plus, not required

     

    - Juris Doctor with strong academic credentials

     

    - Washington Bar License preferred, or ability to obtain one through admission by motion

     

    - Experience as part of a C Suite
