Description We are looking for a meticulous and organized Bookkeeper to join a small, private investment office in Jacksonville, Florida. This Contract to permanent position requires a detail-oriented individual who is skilled in financial management and administrative tasks while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative yet structured environment and be dedicated to supporting the office's financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using QuickBooks Online, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.

• Process deposits and withdrawals while maintaining detailed transaction logs.

• Prepare and issue checks in a timely and precise manner.

• Reconcile financial accounts, including banking and brokerage accounts, on a regular basis.

• Create and record journal entries to maintain accurate financial tracking.

• Update and manage Excel spreadsheets with daily, monthly, and quarterly data.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements for internal use.

• Organize and manage investment-related documents such as statements and trade confirmations.

• Provide administrative support, including filing and record-keeping.

• Ensure compliance with established financial systems and procedures. Requirements • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and general bookkeeping practices.

• Experience with account reconciliation, including bank and brokerage accounts.

• Knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes.

• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for managing financial data and reports.

• Ability to handle month-end close procedures accurately and efficiently.

• Understanding of payroll processes and related financial operations.

• Excellent organizational skills and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
