• Compliance/Governance Analyst

    Description We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Compliance/Governance Analyst to join our team in Los Angeles, California. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring adherence to data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance standards. Your expertise in Microsoft Purview and PowerShell scripting will be critical in automating processes and maintaining a robust compliance posture.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and enforce data governance policies using Microsoft Purview to manage data classification, retention, and security.

    • Create and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate compliance tasks and streamline monitoring processes.

    • Monitor data environments for compliance violations and assist in resolving any identified issues.

    • Support regulatory audits by preparing detailed documentation and reports on compliance activities.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, Legal, and Risk, to ensure data handling aligns with both internal policies and external regulations.

    • Conduct gap analyses to identify areas of non-compliance and recommend actionable improvements.

    • Utilize analytics tools to assess and enhance the effectiveness of compliance programs.

    • Provide ongoing training and guidance to stakeholders on compliance best practices and governance tools. Requirements • At least 3 years of experience in compliance, governance, or a related field.

    • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and data monitoring.

    • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance and compliance management.

    • Strong understanding of data compliance standards and frameworks.

    • Familiarity with tools such as Atlassian Jira and BusinessObjects Technologies.

    • Expertise in database management, administration, and SQL.

    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

    • Ability to perform gap analyses and implement effective solutions.
