Description We are looking for an experienced Workers Compensation Paralegal to join our team in Denver, Colorado. This is a contract position that requires a dedicated and detail-oriented individual with strong expertise in workers compensation defense. The role is fully onsite during standard business hours, and there is potential for the position to transition into a permanent role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive support for workers compensation defense cases, including drafting legal documents and maintaining case files.
• Manage case calendars and deadlines using specialized software tools to ensure timely compliance.
• Collaborate closely with attorneys and other legal professionals to prepare for hearings, trials, and other proceedings.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and decision-making.
• Handle claim administration tasks, including reviewing and processing workers compensation claims.
• Utilize case management software to organize and track case progress effectively.
• Support billing and invoicing processes by maintaining accurate records and documentation.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel regarding case matters.
• Prepare briefs and other legal documents with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements relevant to workers compensation cases. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, specifically in workers compensation defense.
• Proficiency in legal tools and software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and CompuLaw.
• Familiarity with case management systems and tools like Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS).
• Strong organizational skills with experience in calendar management and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Knowledge of workers compensation laws and claim administration processes.
• Ability to work onsite in Denver, Colorado.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
