    Description

    Robert Half is currently seeking a Systems Engineer with Data Center experience for our client near Mequon, WI. While the position will require regular onsite work, the company offers some flexibility in scheduling to support work-life balance. This organization services a diverse, worldwide customer base and specializes in delivering advanced application and data processing solutions.

     

    This is a Direct/Permanent Hire role.

    Responsibilities for this role include:

    + Performing hardware lifecycle management.

    + Responsible for data center design and planning.

    + Evaluating new hardware, software, firmware, and system patches for possible upgrades.

    + Assisting in the response and resolution of 24x7x365 infrastructure support requests.

    + Helping to maintain detailed inventory records.

    + Documenting the IT environment and all associated changes to ensure operational integrity.

    Requirements

    Preferred qualifications:

    + 3+ years of professional experience in systems engineering.

    + Operating system management (Windows and Linux environments).

    + Administering virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and VMware.

    + Hands-on involvement in datacenter operations.

    + Scripting with tools like PowerShell and/or proficiency in object-oriented scripting languages.

    + Demonstrated experience with hardware lifecycle management.

    + Knowledge of evaluating new technology components and applying necessary upgrades.
