Description

We are seeking a meticulous and organized Accounts Payable Specialist for a client on a part-time basis with the potential for a long-term role. In this position, you’ll focus on managing vendor invoices, payments, and other payable processes to ensure the organization’s financial efficiency and compliance. This is a great opportunity to work with advanced accounting systems and contribute to a growing team. This will be approximately 10-15 hours per week.

Responsibilities

+ Process and manage accounts payable transactions promptly and accurately.

+ Review and validate vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding and compliance.

+ Coordinate payment schedules and execute timely payments to vendors.

+ Reconcile vendor statements and accounts, identifying discrepancies and resolving them effectively.

+ Utilize accounting software and ERP systems to track and manage financial data.

+ Support internal teams with inquiries related to payable processes.

+ Prepare and present detailed accounts payable reports to management as needed.

+ Assist with month-end and year-end close processes related to payables.

+ Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting compliance standards.

+ Perform other accounting support tasks as required.

Requirements

+ Proven experience in accounts payable or related accounting functions (preferred).

+ Proficiency in accounting software systems, including ERP and CRM platforms.

+ Familiarity with Quickbooks is a plus

+ Strong understanding of vendor invoice processing and payment handling procedures.

+ Exceptional attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

+ Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.

+ Knowledge of compliance standards and best practices in accounting.
