    Job Title: Pharmacy Operation SupervisorDepartment: Outpatient Pharmacy | OncologyLocation: Geneva Medical CampusHours Per Week: 40 HoursSchedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30-4:00; periodic on-call with other team members

    SUMMARY:

    The Pharmacy Supervisor is responsible for coordination of the Pharmacy Department in accordance with the established policies and procedures of Rochester Regional Health System.

     

    Located in Geneva, NY, the Geneva Medical Campus is the newest addition to Rochester Regional Health’s growing presence in the eastern region. Opening September 15, the campus will serve as a central hub for high-quality, patient-focused care in the Finger Lakes—just minutes from downtown Geneva, Seneca Lake, and Hobart and William Smith College.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Responsible for scheduling pharmacy staff in accordance with departmental needs and scheduling standards.

    + Acts daily to identify staffing concerns and workload issues or policy questions and ensures that the appropriate staff is working on resolution or finding appropriate answers. Reaches out to upper leadership as needed for further resolution.

    + Assists in the development and implementation of changes in departmental operations to improve performance within the pharmacy department working in conjunction with leadership team.

    + Responsible for direct reports, monthly rounding, yearly performance appraisals, etc.

    + Maintain liaison relationship with other departments, providing necessary and timely information pertaining to pharmaceutical supplies, drug usage, compatibilities, state and federal regulations regarding drug controls, and other regulatory standards.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of Pharmacy

    + Licensure as a Pharmacist in New York State

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Three (3) years of related pharmacy experience preferred or a demonstrated ability to achieve positive patient outcomes in a similar environment

    + Demonstrated ability to lead and shape team members within the department

    + Ability to communicate clearly in oral and written form

    + Extensive knowledge of drug products, medical therapeutics, pharmacokinetics, and disease states

    + Ability to work with information systems, automated and technical equipment. Ability to motivate and lead staff during times of change.

    + Oncology experience

    EDUCATION:

    LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

    PAY RANGE:

    $140,000.00 - $175,000.00

    The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
