Job Title: Relief Veterinary Assistant / Reception / Kennel Assistant

Job Type: Relief / As-Needed Position (Potential for Regular Placement)

Are you looking to get your foot in the door with veterinary medicine or searching for a flexible way to earn some extra income doing meaningful work? **VCA Appalachian Animal Hospital** in **Ellijay, GA** , is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic **Relief Veterinary Assistant** to join our fun, supportive team!

This flexible, **as-needed position** is perfect for someone who wants to learn new skills, support a great team, and gain experience across multiple areas of hospital operations. You’ll step in to help when our team members are out on vacation, leave, or sick days. Duties will include:

+ Assisting in exam rooms with patients and clients

+ Working at the front desk to greet clients, answer phones, and schedule appointments

+ Helping with kennel care, including walking, feeding, and cleaning

Requirements:

+ Open availability to work as needed during our business hours:

+ Monday, Tuesday, Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

+ Wednesday & Thursday: 7:30 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

+ Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

+ Closed Sunday

+ A positive attitude and willingness to learn

+ Dependability and flexibility to jump in where needed
