POSITION: Custodial Worker Lead
REPORTS TO: Custodial Supervisor
AIRPORT: Albany International Airport
SUMMARY: Directs and coordinates the activities of workers engaged in custodial work by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Assigns tasks to workers, and inspects completed work for conformance to standards .
+ Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment. Assists in procuring and receiving cleaning materials by making inquires to vendors and preparing requisitions form manager's signature.
+ Assists in ensuring the correctness of worker's time cards.
+ Performs the duties of a Custodial Worker.
LEAD RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads and transmits instructions, work assignments and other orders from the Manager to Custodial Workers . Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); five years custodial or janitorial experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence and routine reports. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid New York State Drivers License as a condition of employment.
