    Join Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. and shape the future of infrastructure as a Senior Civil Engineer! You’ll help lead environmental compliance efforts and infrastructure initiatives that directly support the reliability of electric power for millions of people.

    What you'll do:

    + Lead environmental compliance and civil engineering projects focused on regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.

    + Manage site development and infrastructure improvements, including grading, drainage, and hydrologic/hydraulic modeling.

    + Serve as the technical point of contact for resolving complex compliance issues and ensuring integration of environmental requirements into operations.

    + Oversee project execution, including schedules, budgets, stakeholder coordination, and procurement activities such as RFP development, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations.

    + Collaborate across departments and with regulatory agencies to communicate environmental strategies, maintain compliance, and support ongoing operational improvement.

    What you’ll need:

    + Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental engineering, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

    + 5–7 years of experience in stormwater management, environmental compliance, and civil infrastructure projects.

    + Proficiency in modeling tools and design software (e.g., HEC-RAS, SWMM, AutoCAD Civil 3D).

    + Strong cross-functional communication skills with the ability to simplify technical insights.

    + Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred; CPSWQ or equivalent certification is a plus.
