    We are currently hiring a Senior Systems Engineer for Tracking who will be a key member within the GA-EMS Radar Technologies department. In this capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer will lead systems development of new architectures and algorithms for target tracking. The Senior Systems Engineer will report into the Senior Manager of Architecture and Systems Engineering within the Radar Technologies group.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES:

    + Perform System Engineering development of modern target tracking radar capabilities for detection and tracking of air targets in challenging environments (clutter, electronically contested)

    + Perform system analysis/trades, develop new architectures and algorithms, and generate systems and software requirements

    + Develop new algorithms and simulation models to assess performance of new designs in support of PDR and CDR

    + Collaborate with software and hardware engineering to define computational needs and architecture

    + As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, collaborate on backlog planning, implementation approach, and integration and test plans

    + Analyze data from performance simulations and field tests, troubleshoot issues, and develop fixes or design updates to resolve

    + Represent company at technical reviews, meetings and formal design reviews.

    Job Qualifications:

    + Typically requires a bachelors degree, masters degree or PhD in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and progressive engineering experience as follows; eighteen or more years of experience with a bachelors degree, sixteen or more years of experience with a masters degree, or thirteen or more years with a PhD. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education.

    + Demonstrates a detailed and extensive technical expertise and application of engineering principles, concepts, theory, and practice with the ability to organize, plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate workloads to meet established deadlines or milestones with some experience in project leadership.

    + Experience with advanced tracking architectures and designs such as those developed by Yaakov Bar-Shalom and Samuel Blackman

    + Demonstrated experience with data association algorithms, track filter design, and target dynamic model design

    + Experience developing systems tools and simulations using Matlab, Python, and/or C.

    + Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout a fast-paced, R&D environment.

    + Must have strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interface with other departments, customers, government representatives, and/or professionals.

    + Must be customer focused and able to work on a self- initiated basis or in a team environment.

    + Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance required.

    DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 

    + Experience with development tools including Confluence, Jira, and Git

    + Demonstrated experience developing air traffic control or air defense tracking capability

    + Demonstrated experience developing algorithms to perform in complex environments including clutter and interference

    + Previous experience working with the Department of Defense.
