    The Leonardo DRS Naval Electronics business provides leading naval computing infrastructure, network and data distribution and middleware enterprise services, as well as world-class manufacturing and support capabilities.

    Job Summary

    Performs daily activities focused on Environmental Protection and Employee Safety.

    Job Responsibilities

    + Performs daily activities focused on Environmental Protection and Employee Safety

    + Preparation of Safety Data Sheet (SDS), master labels and other documentation as needed

    + Aids management with safety and regulatory audits

    + Overseas the hazardous waste removal and handling procedures

    + Responsible for customer inquiries on shipping, handling, and disposal of chemicals

    + Responsible for generating literature for orders, SDS, etc.

    + Supports, communicates, reinforces and defends the mission, values and culture of the organization

    + Implements an effective preventative maintenance program to ensure the stewardship of DRS assets

    + Responds to problems and issues in a tactful and expedient manner

    + Performs facilities inspections and reporting requirements

    + Collects data and generates reports and metrics

    Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Science or related field preferred with a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

    + Experience with OSHA and annual compliance training strongly preferred

    + Strong communication, organization and negotiation skills are mandatory

    + Must have excellent PC-based computer skills
