General Scope of Responsibilities:
The CTE Program Lead provides district-level leadership in the development, implementation, and enhancement of Career and Technical Education programs that align with state and federal guidelines. This role focuses on curriculum development, instructional coaching, and program assessment while ensuring the integration of Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs), Industry Recognized Credentials, and Work-Based Learning opportunities. The CTE Program Lead collaborates with district leaders, school administrators, instructional coaches, and industry partners to drive innovative teaching practices and support data-driven decision-making that prepares students for career success.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Implementation and Alignment
+ Guide CTE program development and implementation to align with state and federal guidelines across MS and HS programs
+ Support course sequencing for all CTE pathways while facilitating embedded Work-Based Learning experiences
+ Oversee alignment of CTE curriculum with Iowa Core Curriculum and industry standards
+ Support magnet school modifications for middle school CTE programs and navigate varied delivery approaches
+ Facilitate CTSO (Career and Technical Student Organization) implementation across programs as required by Fall 2024, including advocacy for stipends and setting engagement expectations
+ Advocate for and support CTE lab space upgrades and technology needs/challenges (software, labs, virtual desktops, 3D printers)
+ Order shared curriculum materials for middle school programs and equipment for HS CTE programs
+ Manage Student Built House program including advisory committee meetings, budget management, construction loan facilitation, and transportation support
Data, Reporting, and Accountability
+ Manage Perkins funding responsibilities including budget development, applications, claims processing, and compliance with audit requirements
+ Coordinate program approval and assessment processes including CTE Program Approval (5-year cycle), Comprehensive Local Needs Assessment (3-year cycle), and Accountability Action Plans
+ Collect, report, and respond to CTE data requirements for state and federal education departments
Instructional Support and Professional Development
+ Provide content onboarding and Perkins onboarding for new CTE teachers
+ Collaborate with instructional coaches for CTE teacher observation and goal setting
+ Support implementation of district goals related to CRCSD Model of Instruction
+ Guide integration of Industry Recognized Credentials across CTE programs
+ Support teachers in implementing innovative instructional strategies aligned with best practices
Communication and Collaboration
+ Participate in regional and local CTE Advisory Meetings by service area
+ Coordinate with building principals regarding programs of study as required for Perkins and Offer & Teach
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in education, 3-5 years of experience in Career and Technical Education
Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in education, community outreach, workforce development, or a related field, with experience in coordinating partnerships and work-based learning programs.
SALARY: Teacher Salary + 20 Extended Contract Days

+ Proficiency in using data to monitor program success and identify areas for improvement.
Working Conditions:
+ In addition to the additional days, the position requires the commitment of professional working hours that will require the employee to arrive and leave as directed and may require the employee to extend beyond a typical 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. workday, which could include occasional summertime, evening, and weekend work required for special events, professional learning, and meetings.
+ Some travel within the local community and surrounding areas may be required to meet with partners and attend events.
