Job Summary

The United Center, the largest arena in the United States, is located on the West Side of Chicago. Home to the NHL’s Chicago Blackhawks and NBA’s Chicago Bulls, the venue also hosts concerts, shows, and other large-scale events.

Position Overview:

We are seeking part-time, event-based Cocktail Servers to join our team. This position requires open availability for all scheduled events. Cocktail Servers are responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to guests in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

This is a union role with part-time, event-based scheduling. Open availability—including nights, weekends, and holidays—is required.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Greet guests in a professional and friendly manner

+ Take and serve beverage and food orders

+ Upsell items and ensure guest satisfaction throughout service

+ Accurately handle payments and POS transactions

+ Maintain cleanliness of work areas and assist with setup/breakdown

+ Complete side work and follow checkout procedures

+ Work collaboratively with barbacks, food runners, and assistants

Requirements:

+ Must be able to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods

+ Strong communication, basic math, and problem-solving skills

+ Ability to work with POS systems and follow detailed procedures

+ Open availability for all event dates is required
