Job Summary

As the Restaurant Manager at 1906, a Fine Dining Restaurant at Longwood Gardens, you will lead the front-of-house team in delivering outstanding service in an upscale, garden-inspired setting. You’ll be the driving force behind team development, ensuring the seamless execution of fine dining standards, and delivering unforgettable guest interactions. This role requires a strong presence on the floor, hands-on leadership, and a passion for hospitality.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Lead, train, and inspire the front-of-house staff in delivering elevated, fine dining service

+ Ensure all service standards align with the expectations of Longwood Gardens, our company, and our guests

+ Maintain and manage staff scheduling, payroll, and administrative duties

+ Conduct daily pre-shift meetings and communicate service goals clearly

+ Collaborate cross-functionally to meet and exceed guest expectations

+ Manage daily floor plans, station assignments, and reservation systems to optimize service flow

+ Supervise and ensure completion of daily side work and service readiness

+ Maintain a pristine and welcoming dining room environment

+ Resolve guest concerns promptly with professionalism and grace

+ Act as an ambassador of hospitality and a role model for the team

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent hands-on experience in fine dining

+ 2–3 years of upscale restaurant management experience

+ Deep knowledge of fine dining service and industry trends

+ Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop, coach, and inspire a team

+ Experience with POS and reservation systems; proficiency in MS Office

+ Proven ability to handle high-pressure environments with poise and professionalism

+ Impeccable personal presentation and communication skills
