    Job Summary:

    The Field Training Officer (FTO) serves as the principal training resource for a datacenter campus or metro location. In addition to providing training, job functions may include problem resolution, service enhancement, and process improvement as it pertains to safety and training. The FTO reports directly to the Campus Security Manager and works closely with site, regional, and headquarters leadership. This position has no direct reports but collaborates with campus leadership to assess employee, site, and campus needs.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Serves as the primary point of contact for onboarding and sustainment training.

    2. Trains and certifies new security personnel; maintains required training documentation with support from Administrative Officers (AOs) as needed.

    3. Spends time in the field conducting in-person training with security personnel.

    4. Responsible for tracking training completion.

    5. Promotes safety awareness and champions safety initiatives at the global and regional levels.

    6. Coordinates with local leadership and the headquarters training team to develop site plans and training rollouts.

    7. Ensures all site personnel follow policies and standard operating procedures.

    8. Recommends onboarding and training schedules to the Site and Campus Security Managers based on staff needs.

    9. Assists with audit compliance as it relates to training.

    10. Conducts recurring audits and submits critical/confidential information to campus leadership.

    11. Maintains accurate training and safety documentation per company policy.

    12. Provides feedback on employee competence, compliance, and morale to site leadership.

    13. Performs additional tasks as assigned by management.

    14. Identifies security shortfalls and recommends improvements to the security program.

    15. Evaluates and escalates potential facility safety issues.

    16. Understands and follows safe work practices and company safety policies; reports unsafe conditions to supervisors.

    17. Reiterates: Identifies security shortfalls and offers suggestions for improvement.
