    Required Skills:

    Software Engineer, Video Responsibilities:

    1. Research, develop, and troubleshoot real time communication systems, related to video and audio codecs, cameras, displays, and microphones

    2. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand features, operation, and specify enhancements

    3. Optimizing and improving video codec efficiency, encode rate control, speed, video, pre- and post-processing and error resilience

    4. Debugging and diagnosing quality of end-to-end video experience on lossy networks in real-time communication scenarios

    5. Define the video optimization roadmap for both low-end and high-end network and devices

    6. Lead the definition and implementation of media processing pipeline

    7. Continuously improve the efficiency of the automated test tooling by leveraging the internal automated test infrastructure

    Minimum Qualifications:

    8. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

    9. 5+ years of software development experience in industry settings or PhD with 2+ years of experience

    10. 3+ years of relevant video software engineering experience in industry settings

    11. Experience in C/C++ multithreaded programming

    12. Experience leading large or complex projects, defined goals and delivered milestones by leading teams

    Preferred Qualifications:

    13. Understanding of the multimedia stack, including containers, codecs, and AV synchronization

    14. Video software engineering for video conferencing or other real-time communication applications including experience in image or video processing

    15. Masters Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience

    16. 3+ years of experience with video codec standards like H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC, VP8/VP9, AV1

    17. Experience in Java/Kotlin

    18. Experience in Real-Time Communication (RTC)/Web Real-Time Communication (WebRTC) or video with networking

    19. Experience with live streaming applications including one or more ingestion protocols such as Real-Time Messaging Protocol (RTMP), Reliable Internet Stream Transport (RIST), Secure Reliable Transport(SRT), Zixi Protocol

    20. Experience with drafting or modifying video encoders

    21. Experience with technical broadcast contribution pipelines: Path, transcoding settings, captions/subtitles, etc

    22. Experience building Fast Forward MPEG (FFmpeg) filters or have worked with FFmpeg APIs

    23. Experience with OpenCL, DirectX and Intel Media Software Development Kit (SDK) programming

    24. Experience with Android Media SDK

    25. Experience designing power-efficient software for mobile or embedded systems

    Public Compensation:

    $70.67/hour to $208,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
