    The Opportunity

     

    Abbott Vascular is seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager of Sales Training to lead the development and execution of training programs that enhance the effectiveness of our sales force. This role is critical in ensuring our commercial teams are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and tools necessary to drive business growth and deliver exceptional value to healthcare providers and patients.

    What You’ll Work On

    + Design and Deliver Training Programs: Develop and implement comprehensive training curricula for new hires and ongoing development for tenured sales professionals.

    + Sales Enablement: Collaborate with marketing, sales leadership, and clinical teams to ensure alignment of training content with product strategy and market needs.

    + Performance Analysis: Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, field feedback, and sales performance metrics; continuously improve programs based on data.

    + Leadership Development: Support the development of future sales leaders through targeted coaching and leadership training initiatives.

    + Product Launch Support: Lead training initiatives for new product introductions, ensuring timely and effective knowledge transfer to the field.

    + Compliance and Certification: Ensure all training programs meet regulatory and compliance standards, including documentation and certification tracking.

    + Technology Integration: Leverage digital platforms and learning management systems (LMS) to deliver scalable and engaging training experiences.

    Required Qualifications

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.

    + Master’s degree (MBA, M.Ed., or related) is preferred.

    Experience / Background:

    + Minimum 5–7 years of experience in medical device sales, sales training, or commercial operations.

    + At least 2 years of experience in a leadership or training development role.

    + Experience in vascular, cardiovascular, or interventional medical devices is strongly preferred.

    + Proven track record of designing and implementing sales training programs that drive measurable performance improvements.

    Skills & Competencies:

    Deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and sales enablement strategies. Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences. Proficiency in CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Learning Management Systems (LMS). Ability to analyze sales data and training metrics to inform program improvements. Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence across functions and levels.

    The base pay for this position is $127,300.00 – $254,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
